Dwayne Backhus

Dwayne Backhus is the lead technical trainer and consultant for our open source practice. He has over fifteen years of experience instructing in the information technology field. He has taught various levels of Java, C, C++, Shell Programming,Unix, Websphere, WebLogic, and TCP/IP networking classes.

Dwayne worked for a number of years as a software developer/programmer. During this time he took on various responsibilities, starting as a programmer and moving through the ranks to senior programmer analyst and project manager. He has managed corporate information systems with responsibilities ranging from system administration to configuration, capacity planning and purchasing.

Dwayne has worked with Websphere, WebLogic, C, C++, Unix shell scripting (Borne, Korn, C shell, Bash), J2EE, Java Script, SQL, Perl, PLI, Fortran, 370 Assembler, COBOL, SAS, Pascal, REXX, HTML, XML, and UML Object Oriented Analysis and Design methodology.
